The Health and Care Administration provides service, support, care, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities and is responsible for exercising authority according to applicable legislation. The administration operates within elderly care, LSS, social psychiatry, health care, family support, and authority exercise. All work is performed with the resident in focus based on the value foundation; respect, participation, trust, and security. Together we make each other better and work to achieve the vision of the Health and Care Administration: quality of life for the entire life.

Our elderly homes are a meeting place for seniors and the municipal alternative for elderly care in Sigtuna municipality. Our elderly homes are profile homes. This means that Arhem, Hemskogen, Ymer, and Ärlinghem will offer more activities around a specific theme; Garden, Nature & Culture, Music & Culture, and Spa & Health. This gives the elderly a greater opportunity to choose a residence that aligns with their interests. All homes have units focused on both somatic and cognitive impairments (dementia). All homes offer social activities, care, and assistance.

Each residence has a kitchen and restaurant service. Sigtuna municipality was the first in Sweden to be certified in the ÄTUP method. This means that everyone in our elderly homes has a solid knowledge base about what helps the elderly to get as much food and nutrition as possible.

The municipality's Health and Medical Care Organization (HSO) is responsible for health and medical care in the municipality's special housing for the elderly, around the clock. We have a high staff density to ensure safe and patient-centered care and enable close teamwork and guidance of care staff.

Our permanent patient-responsible nurses are on-site Monday to Friday, including public holidays, from 07:30 to 16:30. We also have an occupational therapist and physiotherapist stationed at each residence, available every weekday. Several of HSO's employees have specialist competence and many years of experience in the profession.

Sigtuna municipality has an agreement with a medical organization for medical services at the municipality's special housing for the elderly.

From a health-promoting perspective, we create a safe and secure environment where participation and the individual needs for quality care and assistance guide all interventions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute with us! Our workplaces are located in Sigtuna and Märsta.

At our special housing, you will work with care, service, and assistance for the elderly. You will work both individually and in teams. Our operations run around the clock, so you will need to work irregular hours. Conducting activities together with the users is also part of your assignment. The users have their own apartments with shared spaces in close proximity.

QUALIFICATIONS

At the start of employment, you need to be at least 18 years old. Relevant ongoing or completed education in health and care and/or experience in this field is highly meritorious. Furthermore, the work requires good computer skills and proficiency in the Swedish language in both speech and writing as you have documentation obligations.
