Team Leader for Laundry Services

The Labor Market and Integration Department (AMI) is seeking a team leader for the laundry services. Part of AMI's operations involves job training in constructed activities consisting of laundry, cleaning, external services, and café operations.

AMI's operations serve as a transitional labor market and as part of job seekers' individual planning to assess and establish job availability. AMI receives mandates from authorities to offer certain job seekers job training and support to find the best path to gainful employment or studies. Job seekers receive support at AMI for a limited time, which results in a high turnover of job training assignments each year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of team leader for the laundry services, both practical and theoretical tasks are included to achieve the goals of the operation. This is done by developing participants' individual job training with tasks in the laundry while simultaneously serving the municipality with laundry services according to agreements. This requires practical skills, patience to introduce participants to tasks, and motivating them based on individual sub-goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for operational systems, process support, resource planning, some customer contact, establishing routines, creating cost estimates, and being responsible for health-oriented initiatives based on participants' needs.

Your focus needs to be on translating the assignment into practical training with quality and based on the basic requirements of the work where there is a demonstrated need for individual adaptation. You must make important decisions on short notice, handle conflicts, maintain ongoing documentation in personal records, and have knowledge of evidence that contributes to behavioral changes. Another focus is on participants' individual development to become employable in the regular labor market.

QUALIFICATIONS

Desired competencies:

  • High school education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer, or team leader training
  • You should be able to translate information into practice and propose solutions consistent with the operation's mission and goals
  • You should be practical, meticulous, and efficiently plan tasks
  • You should have a pedagogical approach and the ambition for participants to understand and want to develop their skills to reach the regular labor market
  • You should have a salutogenic approach
  • You maintain customer contacts through dialogue
  • You need to be creative and find innovative solutions
  • Driver's license (B) is a requirement

To succeed in your mission, you need to be communicative, have proven self-leadership, maintain the basic requirements of the work for participants to become employable, and tirelessly drive and motivate value-creating development that benefits the goals of the operation.
