Your upcoming role In the role of Switcher, you will primarily work with the movement of commuter train vehicles in the depot and are the last person responsible for the vehicles before they go into traffic. You will therefore play a key role in ensuring that our trains can run safely and punctually for our passengers, and your tasks are crucial for a functioning commuter train service. The work involves: • Planning and preparing vehicles and assembling carriages based on maintenance intervals and scheduling needs. • Planning and conducting external cleaning of the carriages based on maintenance intervals. • Responsible for reporting deviations regarding safety, work environment, environment, and quality. • Working to achieve order and cleanliness in the workplace. • Safely moving carriages/vehicles within the depot area and performing self-checks of vehicles before moving. • Performing basic vehicle maintenance. We are now looking for Switchers for full-time positions at our depot in Södertälje. In this role, you will either work constant day/evening or constant night shifts.   

Expectations for the candidate As a person, you are responsible, safety-conscious, and have good communication skills. Taking initiative and making decisions independently comes naturally to you. You thrive in varied work and have the ability to handle many tasks simultaneously.

In a team, you are a humble team player with strong collaboration skills and are not afraid to ask for help when needed. Curiosity and interest in machines, vehicles, and especially trains are advantageous. You also have the ability to drive development and enjoy working in a mixed role of administrative and physical tasks.

Requirements for the role:

• Approved high school diploma
• Approved health according to TSFS 2011:61, amended by 2013:52
• Experience from similar work where you have worked with vehicle movement and/or some form of planning work is advantageous
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
