Temporary Communicator Wanted

The Friends Foundation is now looking for a temporary communicator with a focus on press and advocacy work. The position is a fixed-term part-time role from August 2025 to March 2026, while our current press officer is on parental leave.

You will be part of the team called Engagement & Advocacy and will be an important piece in the collaboration with the advocacy officer, social media, and the organization as a whole.

The position is 50% and reports to the Head of Engagement & Advocacy.

Profile:

We are looking for someone who has previously worked with both strategic and operational communication tasks. You have solid experience in press work and text production, and preferably also in opinion formation. Experience in the non-profit sector, educational issues, or children's rights is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven, unpretentious, and used to working closely with others.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan and drive communication and advocacy initiatives (e.g., news, campaigns, opinion articles)
• Write and edit texts for the website, newsletters, and social media
• Support spokespersons and colleagues in media contacts
• Follow relevant public debate and contribute to spreading Friends' message
• Participate in editorial meetings and coordinate content together with the team
