Welcome to the small school in town!

We currently have a permanent position available in our mixed-age 4-6 class consisting of about 30 students. The class works "one-to-one", meaning all students have their own learning tablet where they document their work.

We are looking for a teacher with broad competence who is qualified to teach Swedish/Social Studies in grade 6. The competence is available in-house, so we will not hire someone who lacks a teaching license. In the 4-6 class, in addition to the mentioned Swedish/Social Studies teacher, there is a Math/Science teacher and a childcare worker who supports the class. We have expanded the school and just moved into newly built facilities.

Our school is located in the A7 area in central Visby. We have about 75 students in the school and about 25 children in the preschool. Currently, a total of 20 people work in preschool, school, and after-school care.

We are looking for someone who is easy to collaborate with, is engaged, curious, and flexible. Education and/or experience in Montessori pedagogy is desirable, but if you have an interest in the pedagogy, we encourage you to apply for the position. Qualifications in English, physical education, crafts, home economics, and music are advantageous.

Start date 2025-08-05.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours/week. We have an agreement for a different regulation of working hours for class teachers, which means work hours are allocated over 204 days per year, 37 hours per week, and 257 hours of trust time per year.
