About the role and your tasks

In your daily work, you are part of the everyday lives of elderly people and work to support them so that they can live as meaningful, independent, and active lives as possible.

We offer you a varied job where you make a difference for others every day. We have no split shifts, and our full-time measure means you get more free time in your everyday life. With us, you have the opportunity to grow and be stimulated, for example, through different roles, responsibilities, or training.

Your work is guided by the needs of individuals. A workday may consist of providing support and assistance with personal care, caregiving, medical interventions on delegation from a nurse, and anything else that the person you support needs help with. Documentation is done in Lifecare. Your role also includes contributing to the development of the operation and maintaining good quality.

As a nursing assistant in home care, you work either only days or only evenings. Working hours are from 07:00 if you work days and until 23:00 at the latest if you work evenings. You will work every other weekend. We offer everyone to work full-time, which means 36 hours and 20 minutes a week.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained nursing assistant.
• Experience in similar work, for example, in elderly care, is an advantage.
• To work in home care, cycling experience is required, and in some areas, a B driver's license is also required.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required in both speech and writing.
• You also need to have good digital skills, for example, in connection with documentation.

You are responsible, committed, flexible, and attentive - with clients, relatives, and colleagues. You understand how important it is for each individual to be involved and have influence over their everyday life.

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to have proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from an employer that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on 1/7 2023.

About the workplace

The home care of Lund Municipality is divided into several geographical areas. In each area, nursing assistants and caregivers work in teams with health and medical staff under the leadership of a unit manager. Each area has a unit administrator and coordinator. We offer service, care, and home healthcare interventions around the clock to the municipality's clients.
