Birkaskolan is centrally located in Ekerö municipality and there are good bus connections from Brommaplan. The school serves children from preschool to grade 9, with approximately 400 students starting from HT 2025.

Our school offers education based on Montessori pedagogy. This means that children and students learn early on to take responsibility for themselves, their environment, and, not least, their studies. We want each student, based on their individual circumstances and at their own pace, to grow and develop into an independent individual.

We have a well-established value foundation - DRUT, which stands for; Participation, Respect, Development, and Safety. These words are very much alive, and we work based on these values in everything we do.

We are now looking for a knowledgeable and inspiring mathematics teacher for grades 7-9. We apply Montessori pedagogy, which means that as a teacher, you will both teach your main subject and support students during their independent work in other subjects. We consider the whole student and place great importance on how we can create the best possible conditions for success. We are looking for a qualified teacher in mathematics for the later years of primary school. Montessori training and/or background is a merit.

We also want you to be proactive in our pedagogical development work in mathematics. You will work closely with your colleagues and participate in interdisciplinary projects together with other teachers. In the teaching team, about ten teachers meet weekly for pedagogical discussions and follow-ups regarding teaching and student results.

At Birkaskolan, we have an exciting time ahead, as next school year 25/26, we will move to a completely newly built school. We will gather our entire operation from preschool to grade 9 under one roof.
