The Service Administration offers an independent and varied job in kitchen and cleaning where you can work in different workplaces and develop. If you work with kitchen and cleaning in Varberg Municipality, you are in an organization where we put service and the customer at the center. In the role of meal assistant/cleaning staff, you should enjoy working both independently and together with others. It is important to us that you feel good at work, and therefore it is essential that you work ergonomically and environmentally consciously. As a meal assistant, you will have varied tasks, such as making salads, cooking with the chef, keeping clean, cleaning, packing cabinets, and washing dishes.

We are now looking for meal assistants who can work on weekends during the summer in the kitchens of special housing in Varberg Municipality. The units consist of Midsommargården, Östergården, and Södertull.

Work within the entire Food and Cleaning department may occur.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Special diet management
• Boiling potatoes, pasta, and grains
• Preparing salads
• Baking
• Self-control for kitchen and cleaning
• Dishes and cleaning of the kitchen
• Cash handling

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is positive, has a strong sense of service and responsibility, and enjoys working with people. You are a driven person who is solution-focused and contributes with innovative thinking and inspiration. You should easily collaborate with others and not be afraid to contact guests, staff, and customers as you are our face to the outside world. You need to be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as reading and following recipes, routines, and instructions, as well as communicating with colleagues, orderers, and meal guests, is part of the assignment.

We see that you have some relevant education or experience in the field, such as:

• Food education at the high school level or equivalent education
• Experience as a meal assistant
• Good computer skills are required as we work with electronic commerce and food data programs
• HACCP training
• Driving license B

You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and share our values where equality and diversity perspectives are natural parts.

Before employment, a certificate from the Police's criminal record for work in schools/preschools must be submitted; this certificate can be requested from the Police's website. School or preschool, e-service | Police Authority (polisen.se)
