Within the waste management department of Hudiksvall Municipality, approximately 40 experienced employees are currently working with operations, maintenance, and development.

We operate in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, focusing on the environment and circular economy.

Currently, a contractor collects container waste from our residents, and shortly we will be handling that collection ourselves with our own vehicles.

We transport certain sorted materials from our facility using our own vehicles. We also have contractors who transport materials for us.

There is a lot happening within the department right now, and we are facing constant change.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a crane truck driver/recycling worker who will drive our new crane truck with a trailer. Your main responsibilities include emptying recycling materials from containers at our recycling center, collecting underground containers with crane loading, setting up bottom-emptying containers, and handling hazardous waste.

You will also drive a smaller truck for collecting bulky waste and latrine containers. The work will be varied and requires experience in driving heavy vehicles, especially crane trucks with trailers. There may also be driving of our garbage trucks.

Your tasks will include assisting at our recycling center as needed.

The work may involve varying working hours but is usually Monday to Friday.

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, self-driven, and engaged. Customer focus and friendliness are important traits for you. You thrive in a team and understand the importance of good collaboration for a positive work environment.

Environmental awareness and understanding of sorting and recycling are of great importance.

You are self-sufficient, committed, and solution-oriented. You have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Experience

About the Department

We sweep streets, plow roads, and build new ones as the urban areas of Hudiksvall grow. We ensure that parks bloom and that the food waste you sort becomes biogas for cars and fertilizer for our fields. We prepare nutritious meals for our children, youth, and elderly – every day. We are responsible for maps and GIS so that society can develop. We ensure that there is clean water in your tap and in nature, and that our students get to and from school safely with school transport. We maintain properties such as nursing homes, schools, swimming pools, and sports halls – keeping them clean and nice. Together, we are the technical administration – a part of Hudiksvall Municipality.
