About the workplace

At Ersta Hospital, employees thrive and we unite in a strong commitment to the patient. Here, decision-making paths are short and effective, and we have good collaboration and community across clinical boundaries. We are currently in an intense and exciting phase where the hospital is growing and has started several new operations during 2024/2025. Within ASIH, we provide home care for seriously ill patients of all ages, around the clock. Most of our patients are in various palliative stages, but we also care for some patients with curable diseases. We work to ensure that patients, despite serious illness, feel safe being cared for at home. An important focus is also to ensure that the patients' relatives feel trust in the care. Our workgroup is characterized by a warm and familial feeling where everyone knows everyone - something we are keen to maintain as we grow.

As an employee, we offer a range of benefits (https://www.erstadiakoni.se/att-jobba-pa-ersta/Om-att-jobba-pa-Ersta/dina-formaner/) that we hope will provide you with the conditions to thrive at work and have a rewarding leisure time.

About the role

As a nurse with us, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which means you work closely with other professions who together strive to help the patient achieve the highest possible quality of life. You start your workdays on-site at Ersta, where you lead and actively participate in planning around the patient's daily care together with others in the team, and then prepare and go out on your patient visits. Meeting patients in their home environment allows for both conversation and relationship building - but can also mean that you face situations and challenges that require you to improvise a bit. You will also handle various types of medical technical equipment. In the afternoon, the workgroup reconvenes at the office where you document your visits, conduct patient conversations, and manage other necessary tasks. The work also includes collaboration with other caregivers and actively participating in the development and change work of the organization.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and their professional role. You have the courage to meet patients and their relatives, even in difficult situations. Since you will be working independently on your patient visits, you need to feel comfortable prioritizing and making decisions in consultation with colleagues, patients, and relatives. Of course, you work evidence-based and prioritize putting the patient first. You have the ability and appreciate collaborating with colleagues from other professions.

You also share Ersta's values of seeing the whole person and our value words; professionalism, trust, and hope.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed nurse • has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • has a B driver's license
