We are now looking for two engaged summer substitutes who want to work as tourist hosts in the tourist unit, part of the culture and education administration in Alingsås municipality. With us, you will contribute to providing visitors with the best experience. The focus is on promoting the tourism industry and public interaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a tourist host, your role will be varied and versatile. You will work both at the tourist information center and at other popular venues such as Nolhaga Castle and Gräfsnäs Castle Park. Here, you will be responsible for staffing our tourist information stations and welcoming and assisting visitors.

In addition, you will handle daily administrative tasks, which means responding to incoming emails and phone calls. You will also be responsible for bookings of the various experiences we offer, as well as ensuring that our booking systems are updated with correct information. You will keep relevant departments informed about current bookings and upcoming activities.

You will also participate in the planning and execution of events and other activities organized during the summer.

Part of your job will also involve ensuring that the informational material at our various information points is always updated and replenished, to provide visitors with the best possible experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with previous experience in service and tourism, and work experience as a host, coordinator, or in a similar role within the tourism industry, culture, or equivalent operations. You have good local knowledge and use this to provide visitors with the best possible service. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, and it is an advantage if you also speak German to communicate with our visitors. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position, as the work involves travel throughout the municipality.

You have the ability to effectively combine operational and administrative work. As a person, you are outgoing and enjoy collaborating with others, and you have a positive and engaged attitude. You have a strong interest in service and always strive to provide visitors with the best possible experience. You are meticulous, adaptable, and see solutions instead of problems in various situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

OTHER

The position runs from June to August. Working hours vary over all days of the week. Weekend and evening work occurs based on the needs of the operation.
