Environmental Worker Wanted at Verdis in Lidingö

About the Job

Verdis is responsible for waste collection in Lidingö, with Lidingö municipality as our client and partner. We need to strengthen our department with positive and goal-oriented environmental workers with a C driver's license and YKB, who can work full-time during the summer period from June to August. After the summer, there may be an opportunity for continued employment.

As an environmental worker, you will play a key role at Verdis. You are our face to the public and become one of our everyday heroes who helps keep Lidingö clean. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the waste management tasks are carried out in accordance with the company's routines and our client's requirements. You will report to the local management.

Job Responsibilities

• Collection and transport of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting of deviations
• Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and superstructures, and cleaning them as needed
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop as needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a C driver's license with the associated YKB
• Masters the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience from similar work
• Driven rear-loaders before
• Knowledge of digital deviation management
• Familiarity with precision driving
• Local knowledge of Lidingö

This position is suitable for you if you have good physical fitness and enjoy a dynamic job in a fast-paced environment. You appreciate being outdoors and have no problem working in all weather conditions. As a person, you are service-oriented with good collaboration skills and have a solution-oriented approach. We also believe that you are responsible and take pride in performing your work excellently.

Other Information

Start: Immediately (by agreement)
Scope and Employment Type: Fixed-term full-time employment until the end of August
Working Hours: Our operations run Monday to Friday, daytime from 06:30 to 15:30, including public holidays and eves such as Midsummer Eve
Location: Lidingö
