Assistant Nurse for Day Care for Children and Youth
We are expanding our day care for children and youth and are therefore looking for several new employees to join our team.
Are you an assistant nurse with experience in eating disorder care and child and adolescent psychiatry? Then this is the job for you!
The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have about 250 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our inpatient care departments will be located at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains in Södermalm in Stockholm.

Day care for children and youth is a unit that works with day care and intensive outpatient care for children, adolescents, and their relatives. A large part of the treatment takes place in group format.
Job Responsibilities:
As an assistant nurse with us, your tasks include both psychiatric and somatic nursing work. The psychiatric care focuses on group treatment for families where the child has been affected by an eating disorder, with an emphasis on strengthening the parents in their role. The work includes meal support, anxiety management, daily conversations, and the most common treatment method is family-based therapy. You will also perform somatic examinations as needed.
You will work in a treatment team with nurses, psychologists, doctors, and social workers. Important parts of the job include participating in educational meals for the patients and being involved in various groups such as family, youth, parent, sibling, or relative groups.
Your tasks also include following up on the clinic's quality work, and documentation is done in the journal system Take Care.
Employment Type:
Permanent employment. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse, with a certificate of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have experience working with patients with eating disorders, either from somatic, psychiatric, or specialized eating disorder care. Step 1 competence in family therapy or CBT, experience in family work, and conducting group conversations are considered meritorious.
We also consider it meritorious if you have completed assistant nurse training with a focus on psychiatric care and have experience with patients with autism spectrum disorders or self-harming behavior, as well as if you are a CPR or Bergen instructor. Likewise, previous practical experience with somatic examinations and knowledge of the journal system TakeCare.

As the unit is under expansion, there is a need for flexibility and a willingness to participate in the creation process of the unit. You are responsible, secure, and structured.
