S:t Erik Care and Nursing Home is located a 10-minute walk from Fridhemsplan on Kungsholmen, offering care and support primarily to individuals over 65 years old.

The residents at S:t Erik have varied medical needs.

We are looking for someone who can work primarily over the summer.

Kungsholmen is part of one of Stockholm's four academic nodes that conducts evidence-based care and support, where the ambition is for research to be an integrated part of daily work.

We offer

A friendly workplace with a total of 30 dementia places spread over 4 departments. The residence has a cozy courtyard to enjoy during the summer months. Below S:t Erik, you will find Kungsholms strand with its promenade.

Your role as a nurse

As a nurse, you are an important part of our interdisciplinary team and contribute with your specialist competence to ensure that our elderly receive person-centered care. Your tasks include the usual responsibilities of a nurse in a care and nursing home, such as medical assessments, contact with doctors, communication with relatives as needed, and planning and implementing interventions based on individual needs. Training and supervising staff in care work, as well as following up and evaluating completed interventions, are part of the assignment. Documentation is done in Vodok.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has several years of experience in the profession
• Has experience working with the elderly.
• Is comfortable handling digital tools such as digital signing of medications and digital alarm systems.

As a person, you have a good ability to collaborate, communicate, and promote a good working environment. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in your position, work independently, and be able to make your own decisions. You are motivated by training and seeing other employees develop. Furthermore, you work evidence-based and are flexible.

To work for the City of Stockholm with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract should not be older than 6 months from the date of issuance.

The Department of Elderly Care is responsible for assistance handling and various interventions that enable the elderly to have their care needs met. Here you will find care and nursing homes, service houses, support for relatives, day activities, and home care. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen's elderly care.
