About Us

The Care Administration is responsible for elderly care and care for people with disabilities. The operations are run under Solna Municipality's management. Our mission is to help people live a safe, independent, and dignified life.

Citizens in Solna are offered an emergency alarm in their homes, which allows them to contact us around the clock in case of immediate help and care needs. The emergency alarm has staff available 24/7 to handle these alarms. The staff is based at Lövgatan 45 in Solna.

What Does the Job Involve?

As an employee in emergency alarms, you will receive alarms from the alarm reception Careium and go out to assist our users in their homes. You will work in teams of two and have access to a car to use during work for easy transportation. Our users consist of residents in Solna, primarily the elderly but also individuals with disabilities who need extra help.

Every situation is different, and sometimes you need to make quick decisions. In addition to the users, you will have contact with ambulances, health centers, and social/emergency services, as well as home care groups and relatives. In this role, it is important that you feel comfortable with documentation as it is a crucial part of the job.

The work is scheduled for days, evenings, and nights.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who can work in the emergency alarm system according to the schedule during the day with working hours from 07:00 to 16:30 or in the evenings from 16:30 to 21:15.

For the role, it is required that you:

• are a care assistant or currently studying in healthcare (e.g., nurse or doctor)
• have a valid driver's license (B)
• master Swedish in both spoken and written form
• can handle a smartphone as a work tool.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in elderly care or geriatric care.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You work well with others and have a service-oriented approach. Since we work with people in vulnerable situations, having empathy is essential. Being attentive and receptive to the other party is also very important. If you have worked with the elderly, it is an advantage. We value good local knowledge within the Solna Municipality.
