We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. It is an advantage if you have work experience in inpatient care and experience with the Cosmic journal system.

What you will work with

Orthopedics is a regional clinic with operations in Piteå, Gällivare, and Sunderbyn. In the orthopedic department in Sunderbyn, you will primarily work with patients who have acute injuries or issues in the musculoskeletal system. Some patients may have broken a leg on the ski slopes or been involved in a traffic accident, while others may have fallen at home and sustained a hip fracture. Other conditions may include planned or emergency amputations as well as scheduled spinal surgeries. This means that the patient clientele in orthopedics is varied in terms of age, complexity, and underlying diseases.

As a nursing assistant in the orthopedic department, you will participate in patient care, but the work also includes taking samples, monitoring, assisting doctors and nurses during examinations and treatments, risk assessments, and documentation in the journal system. We work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors to provide patients with the best possible care and support.

We have a structured working method with pulse meetings, care load measurements, clear routine documents, and continuous improvement efforts where everyone has the opportunity to develop and update their own areas of responsibility. Daily, we also work with the Green Cross to identify risks for patients, but also to follow up on how the staff's day has been, as we have a strong focus on a good working environment and ensuring that everyone enjoys their job.

Information about the position

Temporary full-time position for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
