The surgical area is county-wide with clinics and departments in Hudiksvall and Gävle. We conduct both acute and planned operations within our specialties: urology, vascular, plastic, upper and lower gastrointestinal, breast, and endocrine surgery. We are now looking for a nurse in Gävle for a rotation position where the work is divided between inpatient care in the surgical department and outpatient care in the surgical clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will be offered a fun and constantly developing job within one of healthcare's most exciting fields, dealing with acute and planned patients. You should have an interest in diseases of the lower gastrointestinal tract as the work in the surgical clinic is primarily focused on that section.

As a nurse in the surgical clinic, you will, among other things:

• work as a contact nurse in the lower gastrointestinal section
• provide telephone advice
• assist in examinations and treatments in connection with doctor visits and outpatient surgeries
• manage referrals and schedule appointments for planned clinics.

As a nurse in the surgical ward, you will, among other things, work with:

• preparation and administration of medications, infusion/pain therapy
• patients who have undergone advanced surgery with complex care needs
• patients with specific care needs including nutritional tubes, drains, stomas, and treatment of advanced wounds.

As a nurse with us, you must:

• be a licensed nurse.
