Design High School has two schools in Stockholm, Kungsholmen and Sickla. We offer vocational and university preparatory programs; the Aesthetic Program - interior design, fashion design, and graphic design, as well as the Technology Program - product design and architecture and design. We also have vocational preparatory programs in Textile Design and Sales and Service. Each school has just over 300 students. We are now looking for a school nurse (80%) for our two schools.

Your Mission

The mission of the student health services is to support students' development towards the goals of education primarily through health-promoting and preventive work.

As a school nurse, you contribute medical expertise as support in the work with students' learning. You follow AcadeMedia's guidelines for the medical intervention of student health and participate in the school's student health work by:

• early identifying symptoms in students during health conversations that may indicate the need for extra adjustments or other interventions
• collaborating with others to increase knowledge about a healthy lifestyle among students and providing support in teaching related to this
• providing knowledge about risk and protective factors for students' health, social situation, and learning
• offering time for spontaneous visits where simpler medical interventions are provided
• offering vaccinations according to the general vaccination program for children

As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and have close cooperation with school management, EHT, educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The mission also includes participating in the school's development work and the joint development and quality assurance work within the medical student health.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. You are interested in working with preventive health work and are used to working in teams. You have a good approach, can build trust with young people, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize while being flexible in situations that require it. If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and youth, we see this as very positive. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
