JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse on orthopedic ward 6, you can look forward to a fun, stimulating, and constantly developing job in an exciting area with many different diagnoses in acute orthopedics and urology. The department also conducts elective care with about three to four planned surgeries per week. You will be the team leader and responsible for nursing care for your care team with up to six to eight patients. As part of a team consisting of nurses, care coordinators, doctors, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, you will coordinate the patient's nursing and medical care. In addition to working in the care team, you are expected to contribute to the unit's development work and our shared work environment.

As a nurse with us, you will work with:

• nursing including preventive work against care injuries
• medication administration
• handling of medical technical equipment such as infusion pumps, VAC pumps, central lines, tubes, catheters
• documentation and planning for patients at admission and discharge
• information and education.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an interest in orthopedic/urological nursing and a genuine interest and commitment to the well-being of patients. To thrive with us, you need to handle the varying daily life in an orthopedic acute care ward. You are good at prioritizing and re-prioritizing, can switch between different tasks, and also manage a sometimes high pace without losing patient safety and quality. You are responsible and can work goal-oriented and systematically. You have a pleasant demeanor and see respectful, attentive, and empathetic communication as an important tool in contact with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other internal and external actors. You have a good ability to both lead and collaborate.

In the role of nurse, you must:

• be a licensed nurse.
