The Women's Health and Maternity Department at Danderyd Hospital is undergoing a positive and exciting transformation! We are modernizing maternity care by further developing digital solutions and have recently begun offering home-based maternity care.

• Ward 16, which is an antenatal and medical postnatal care ward.
• Ward 17, which is a medical postnatal care ward responsible for planned cesarean sections.

Job Responsibilities

The main responsibilities are to support families and care for women and children based on their individual needs. As a nursing assistant, you will work closely with the responsible midwife and be responsible for monitoring vital parameters and documenting them, mobilization, and care.

You will be offered an introduction tailored to your previous experience.

Qualifications

Nursing students who have completed at least four semesters or medical students who have completed at least five semesters. Experience in healthcare is desirable and meritorious, but great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Teamwork requires good collaboration skills and the flexibility to adapt to new conditions during the workday. You both give and ask for help. About the Department

The Women's Health and Maternity Department is one of the hospital's largest operational areas with about 600 employees. We provide acute and specialized care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The department is divided into the sections of obstetrics and gynecology.

The obstetric section includes delivery, specialist maternal care with ultrasound clinic, antenatal unit, elective cesareans, and postnatal care. We are one of Sweden's largest delivery units.

The gynecological section consists of an outpatient clinic, emergency department, operating room, and a care ward. We perform benign gynecology with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. We have an NHV assignment in advanced pelvic floor surgery. Our operating room performs both planned and emergency procedures, including robotic surgery.

We have a significant research and development mission with the education of medical students, midwifery students, and rotating doctors from general medicine and emergency medicine. We have a large clinical research operation with at least two newly registered doctoral students each year.
