Material Mechanic at FMV in Linköping

Are you service-oriented, structured, and skilled with tools? We are now looking for a new team member for our test team in Linköping. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall project aspects that strengthen the capabilities of the Swedish Armed Forces and Sweden. About the Position

As a material mechanic, you play a key role in our flight testing operations and are responsible for ensuring that the right equipment, tools, and materials are always available for our flight technicians and others in the organization. You work to ensure material handling and actively contribute to improving our efficiency.

The role involves significant responsibility for organizing and optimizing the flow of materials to enable smooth testing operations. You are given the freedom to contribute creative and sustainable solutions within logistics and material handling while ensuring that routines and safety regulations are followed.

You will be part of a knowledgeable and committed team where you together develop and improve work methods to ensure high quality and precision in testing operations. The work takes place both at our home base and, when necessary, at other locations where you support operations by ensuring that materials and equipment are in place on time.

The position is based in Linköping.

About You

We are looking for someone with a basic high school diploma in, for example, construction, trade, logistics, or automotive programs. You have basic tool skills and can handle hand tools, as well as easily understand technical publications in Swedish and English, simplified English. You also have a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have completed military service with a passing result. We would also like you to have worked in a service-oriented role and have an interest in aviation. If you have knowledge of the Armed Forces' operations, methods, and materials, we see that as a benefit.

We contribute by conducting Verification and Validation (VoV), so that FMV can deliver the right materials for a stronger defense where all employees have an important role to fill.

T&E Air operates within the aviation arena. We work with verification and validation of aviation-related products, primarily on military platforms such as Gripen and helicopters. The goal of our operations is to support other FMV divisions with specialized expertise and lead operations within verification and validation.
