In the Rehabilitation and Support Unit, we have occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and rehabilitation nursing assistants. We belong to the area of operations (VO) for outpatient care and rehabilitation medicine, working within the hospital's medical and primary care services as well as the orthopedic department. We have a good collaboration throughout the unit, where we help and support each other when needed. For newcomers, we offer an individually tailored introduction to our operations and mentorship from an experienced colleague. On Fridays, those who wish can have breakfast together.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Lasarettet in Trelleborg, we have four wards and several outpatient clinics where we are engaged. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop and learn new things as a physiotherapist through work in both wards and outpatient clinics.

Our general medicine ward focuses on diabetes, lung diseases, and multi-sick patients. As a physiotherapist, you will perform mobility assessments, clinical activity, and functional training. Furthermore, it includes monitoring respiratory function, mobility training, and TENS fitting. The work is characterized by personal responsibility, participation, and teamwork.

In your role as a physiotherapist in our cardiology ward, you will contribute your specific professional expertise in assessing and treating patients to provide the best possible care together with other professionals in the team. Pre-/post-operative information is also part of the work. The work is characterized by personal responsibility, participation, and teamwork.

In our neurology ward, we treat acute stroke patients, but we also see patients with other neurological diseases. About a year ago, we started ESD (Early Supported Discharge). Here, teamwork is also a significant part of the work.

In the orthopedic ward, we perform elective surgeries, primarily on knees and hips, but we also operate on feet and shoulders. Recently, we have expanded our mission to include surgeries for children and cervical spines. Outpatient work with pre- and post-operative information is also included.

Our unit also works partially with the cardiology clinic, lung clinic, rheumatology clinic, and neurology clinic. Additionally, we have day care for neurology patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is an advantage if you have worked with the Melior journal system.

The work requires a professional attitude and a good ability to collaborate and enjoy working in a team with other professionals, as well as the ability to prioritize and organize work. You should also be able to make quick decisions, be innovative, and flexible.
