About Vallaskolan

Vallaskolan is centrally located in Sollefteå. The school has approximately 560 students distributed across two principal areas: grades 4-9 and adapted primary school (special education). For the upcoming school year, there will be 21 classes in the primary school. The school management consists of one principal and two vice principals, who also teach as part of their roles. There are about 37 teaching positions, including special teachers and teachers in a special education group (Studio) and the preparatory program for newly arrived students (Language Studio). Additionally, there are some student hosts and resource persons. Within administration, student health, library, IT, and maintenance, there are several more staff members. Three of the teachers are lead teachers. The lead teachers have an overarching role at the municipal level. Additionally, at the principal's request, they also lead the development work at the school. The competence of the staff is highly valued by the school management, and there are good opportunities for development within the organization.
