We offer work in an exciting and international environment, where we work together at a fast pace and have fun along the way. Always with the guests in focus! We are now looking for extra staff for the upcoming summer season, with the possibility to work extra already during the spring.

On board our ship Silja Symphony, we have a wide range of restaurants including à la carte, grill, fish & seafood, and buffet. Job opportunities are available in both the à la carte restaurants and the buffet, depending on your previous experience.

As a Waiter/Waitress, your main task is to provide the best service experience for our guests, and through good knowledge of food and beverages, you offer our guests service that exceeds their expectations. We prefer that active customer contact comes naturally to you and that you keep yourself updated with our products and concepts on board.

Whether working at sea is completely new to you or not, we offer good conditions for you to succeed. Your journey with us begins with a four-day onboarding on board; a unique opportunity to try out the work in an exciting environment. During these days, you will have the chance to get acquainted with life at sea, the ship, the team, and the tasks on board.

During the summer season, you often work on a schedule of 8 to 10 days on board, followed by an equal length of paid leave. This also means good opportunities to combine an interesting and developing job with longer periods of leisure.

We are looking for you who:

• Have at least two years of professional experience as a Waiter/Waitress
• Have good knowledge of food and beverages
• Have a high sense of service
• Relevant education in à la carte and bar service is an advantage

To succeed in the role, it is important that you are positive, social, and goal-oriented. You are engaged in your work, have the will to develop, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and in a team to achieve common goals.

Once you start working on board, you will be part of the safety organization, so it is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish, which is the safety language, as well as good knowledge of English. Everyone who is going to work on board undergoes a health examination to obtain a Medical Certificate for Seafarers. This is organized and funded by us at Tallink Silja Line. In addition to the health examination, it is required that you have citizenship in an EU/EES country and a passport or national ID card. Background checks and alcohol and drug tests may also occur in accordance with our safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
