The Oncology Clinic consists of mammography, radiation therapy, palliative medicine, outpatient care, and inpatient care. The Oncology Clinic's ward 13a has 14 beds and cares for most cancer diagnoses. We also conduct several projects/development work and have always been independent of staffing agencies.

The care is provided by a multiprofessional team with special knowledge and competence in oncological care. The team consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

As a nursing assistant in oncology, you have a very important role in the team around the patient. We work based on person-centered care tailored to the patient's needs and life situation. Since we often meet patients and relatives in crisis, a significant part of the role is to be present with the patient and to handle situations that involve meeting and supporting patients and relatives with respect and empathy.

We are looking for a nursing assistant for our ward 13a! Being a nursing assistant with us means that you have a great responsibility and gain a broad foundation within the profession. You will receive an individually tailored introduction with a well-developed and safe onboarding process. We offer a developing workplace with opportunities for professional development where you, as a nursing assistant, will gain theoretical and practical knowledge with a focus on the patient. Our goal is for you to grow in your role as a nursing assistant in a stimulating work environment.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed. On the ward, we work both day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has a valid nursing assistant education
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have specialist training in oncological and palliative care
• Have experience working in oncological and palliative care
