The Oncology Clinic consists of mammography, radiation therapy, palliative medicine, outpatient/inpatient care, and wards. The Oncology Clinic's ward 13a has 14 beds and cares for most cancer diagnoses. We also conduct several projects/development work and have always been independent of staffing agencies. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team with special knowledge and competence in oncological care. The team consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

We are now looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant or studying in the corresponding semester of medical or nursing education, to strengthen our team during the summer!

As a nursing assistant in the oncology clinic's ward 13a, you have a very important role in the team around the patient. We work based on person-centered care tailored to the patient's needs and life situation. Since we often meet patients and relatives in crisis, a large part of the role involves being present with the patient and being able to handle situations that involve meeting and supporting patients and relatives with respect and empathy.

You will receive an individually tailored introduction with a well-developed and secure onboarding process. Our goal is for you to grow in your role as a nursing assistant in a stimulating work environment. In the department, we work both day, evening, and weekend shifts. Night work may also occur.

The position is a full-time temporary position starting from 2025-06-02 until 2025-08-31, or by agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have training as a nursing assistant, alternatively care assistant (studying to become a doctor or nurse and have completed semester 4)
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous if you

• Have experience working in oncological and palliative care
