Ambulance Care

We are now looking for nurses for ambulance care in Region Jönköping County for the summer of 2025. Here you will have the opportunity to work with emergency care at home, at the scene of accidents, and during transport, where every intervention can save lives. The Role of the Nurse

As a nurse, you will work in a team with an ambulance caregiver or another nurse. You will assess and treat patients on-site and during transport, as well as perform patient transfers both within and outside the county. With the help of advanced equipment such as defibrillators and mechanical chest compression, you will provide patient-safe care tailored to the patient’s needs.

Your Future Workplace

The ambulance service in Region Jönköping County is a modern and development-intensive organization, with 24 ambulances distributed across 12 stations. The operation consists of three ambulance areas: north, south, and east. The southern area has stations in Värnamo, Gislaved, and Vaggeryd. The eastern area has stations in Eksjö, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Sävsjö, Tranås, and Aneby. The northern area has stations in Jönköping, Habo, and Mullsjö.

Your Profile

For the summer of 2025, we are looking for someone who…

• Is a licensed nurse or will graduate by June 2025.
• Has a B driver's license and good physical ability.
• Enjoys making quick decisions and collaborating in a team.

Further education in ambulance care, anesthesia, intensive care, or emergency medicine is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability, including your ability to meet patients and relatives with empathy and professionalism.

Our Recruitment Process

Your application should include a CV, nursing license, proof of specialist training, and other certificates that support your CV. You will upload these in our recruitment system when you apply.

In our recruitment process, in addition to interviews and reference checks, there are also a number of tests that you will undergo before potential employment. These tests include a fitness test, lifting test, driving test, and swimming test. You will receive more information about the tests when invited for a potential interview.
