The role: relationships, technology, and business
As a salesperson at Johnson Metall, the job is about more than just selling a product – it’s about creating long-term business relationships and being an advisory partner for customers in various industrial sectors. The role includes both new customer acquisition and the development of existing business, where each assignment requires a deep understanding of the customer’s technical and business challenges.
– Our customers do not just buy a product – they buy our knowledge and ability to manufacture exactly what they need. To succeed in the role, a technical interest and the ability to build trust in every customer meeting are required, explains Torbjörn Nordh.
The tasks include quoting, order management, follow-up on deliveries, and ongoing dialogue with customers. The salesperson works closely with the production and planning team in Örebro and plays a central role in the company’s business development.

Examples of tasks:
- Build and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Be responsible for key customers and drive new customer acquisition.
- Handle order reception, quoting, and delivery follow-up.
- Visit customers and maintain ongoing dialogue via phone and email.
- Collaborate with production and planning to ensure customer-specific solutions.
Are you the one we are looking for?
To succeed in the role, you need to be a technically interested salesperson with the ability to build long-term business relationships. You combine business drive with technical understanding and create trust by customizing solutions to meet the customer’s needs. Your responsiveness, social skills, and structured working methods make you a natural partner who creates value and profitability for both the customer and the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Technical understanding through education, work experience, or genuine interest.
- At least five years of sales experience, preferably in technology.
- Ability to build business relationships.
- Familiarity with reading drawings and technical documents.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Driver's license B.
