Ophthalmic Nurse/Nurse at the Eye Care Department

The Eye Care Department provides both acute and planned ophthalmic care with outpatient and surgical services, as well as vision rehabilitation. At the eye clinic in Hudiksvall, we conduct both outpatient and surgical operations, as well as outpatient services in Bollnäs. We have about 50 employees from various professional backgrounds, including doctors, ophthalmic nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, medical secretaries, and administrative staff, and together we manage large patient flows.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an ophthalmic nurse/nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and patient-focused environment with varied and diverse tasks. You will closely collaborate with our doctors, nursing assistants, ophthalmic nurses, and optometrists. Together, we work to provide all patients with the best possible care.

As an ophthalmic nurse/nurse, you will work with:

• Preliminary examinations before doctor visits, such as vision tests, intraocular pressure measurements, visual field tests, color vision tests, OCT, and photography
• Telephone advice
• Outpatient work for patients with conditions like glaucoma, where you perform examinations, document in journals, and assess further treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of ophthalmic nurse/nurse, you should:

• Be a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.

If you have further education as an ophthalmic nurse or surgical nurse, it is highly meritorious. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license as it facilitates the work.
