Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibility as a janitor at Säbyholm is to oversee our indoor and outdoor environment. You will perform maintenance work, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure a safe and secure school environment. Together with the principal and safety representatives, you will work on developing routines and methods that ensure a safe working environment for both staff and children/students. Your daily tasks include taking care of our beautiful outdoor environment, patrolling inside and outside our buildings, following up on reported issues and employee requests to ensure a smooth daily operation.

Qualifications

You are expected to be a solution-oriented person who can handle varying tasks and be flexible in your role as a janitor. You want to take responsibility and enjoy providing service. You have the ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as plan and prioritize your work and responsibilities. You find it easy to engage with children/students, staff, and external visitors. Practical skills in maintenance and repairs, technical support, and fire safety are desirable. Experience working in schools where understanding the unique needs and working environment of preschools and schools is also preferred.
