We are now looking for a personal assistant who can work during weeks 19, 20, 23, 24, and 33, as well as on an hourly basis.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who retains their childlike spirit and enjoys being active and coming up with activities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, chemistry, and the ability to collaborate. You are a wonderful and child-loving person who is also comfortable working independently. You need to have patience to wait for the user. Since the user does not have verbal speech, it is also important that you are attentive and aware of his needs and general well-being by interpreting his body language and sounds. However, the user is often clear about what he wants.

Your workplace is where the client is, primarily in his home in Linköping. You will also accompany him on leisure activities and outings. The job may involve traveling with the client and his family, including overnight stays.

Requirements:

- Good physical condition

- Non-smoker

- Able to swim

- Good knowledge of the Swedish language

Meritorious:

- Previous experience in care or working with children

I am an 11-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers. During the day, I go to school, but in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, I need assistance. As an assistant, I want you to enjoy being active, being outdoors, and playing. I like when things happen, so it’s good if you are creative and come up with activities from time to time. I also want you to be positive and help me learn things. With me, it’s usually full speed ahead, and I love jumping on trampolines, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my little brothers, and taking short walks in the woods and nearby areas. I also love riding a cargo bike when the weather permits. On weekdays, I have some leisure activities; on Mondays, I attend music therapy, and on Tuesdays, I go swimming training. You will accompany me to both activities, and during swimming training, you will be in the water with me. I also regularly visit Händelseriket, where I enjoy taking it a bit easier and exploring all the sensory toys they have.

I have a cognitive disability that means I do not speak with words and need help performing all daily life activities as well as interaction and communication. I make myself understood through body language and sounds, but I understand spoken language in simpler commands and phrases. I can walk but sometimes need support to move around, and when I need to travel longer distances, I use a wheelchair or all-terrain vehicle. Sometimes I can be extra playful and active, and then I run, so you need to be quite fast to keep up and ensure I do not expose myself to dangers. I also need a lot of active help with eating, going to the bathroom, dressing, and playing!

Working hours and employment rate:

You will work during weeks 19, 20, 23, 24, and 33, as well as on an hourly basis.

The weekly schedule is Monday to Thursday afternoons/evenings and weekends (daytime).

Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations according to collective agreement.

Introduction will take place in the spring.
