The team - Charging and Infrastructure Solution - C&IS

We are a function within Volvo Energy where we develop Battery Electric Vehicle/Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles Charging and infrastructure solutions in conjunction with Business Area’s and partners. We work by lobbying and advocacy, legislation monitoring, charging infrastructure partnerships and associations to create and accelerate industry standardization and roll-out for charging.

We jointly simplify the electrification transformation for our customers and the society as well as accelerate the journey towards 100% fossil free and in doing so, support Volvo Group’s sustainability target.

What you will do

As Volvo Energy Public Charging & Infrastructure Solutions (C&IS), Product Manager User Experience (UX) you will contribute to the execution of the Volvo Group charging services strategy.

You will be responsible for consolidating our long-term roadmaps and follow-up on status, budget and delivery. You aim to ensure that we deliver a world class user experience for charging infrastructure solutions providing a seamless and integrated experience for our customers. We believe the successful candidate has long experience from services strategy and development, with particular focus on the user experience.

This role contains a great variety of tasks, and to have the ability to quickly grasp the context and address issues at hand. Charging Infrastructure for HDV is also new territory, so it is important that you are able to identify new trends as well as to integrate existing channel strategies and solutions continuously.

Focus will be on driving the evolvement of the charging user experience together with Volvo Group functions and SME’s, always with the focus to provide scalability and profitable growth for the charging infrastructure digital services.

Main responsibilities

For Charging and in collaboration with Volvo Group functions, Business Areas, and stakeholders:

  • Identify opportunities, capabilities, and solutions to enable a unique and premium user experience by internal definitions and external competition benchmark
  • Drive Customer Journey mappings connected to the overall Volvo Group Customer Journeys and defined personas
  • Understand, verify and maintain the map of the as-is situation by conversations and interaction to customers, drivers, fleet users as well as local Volvo representatives and dealers
  • Interact and collaborate closely with development teams by supporting PI planning and backlog definitions
  • Act as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational process, ways of working and solution changes required to create and sustain user experience focus
  • For selected activities safeguard, drive and own change implementation
  • Participate and drive the long-term strategy mapping and definition for charging

From a Charging User Experience perspective:

  • Manage the Product Position and overall Customer Journey and Personas mapping
  • Manage the as-is Capability and Solution mapping
  • Manage the overall Roadmaps and backlog throughout the sales funnel and the ownership phase
  • Manage (set, monitor and follow up) the KPI, OKR, NPS
  • Base User Journey and base Personas
  • As-is analysis based on User Journey and Personas

Qualifications likely required to be successful

  • Customer and commercial focus and drive
  • Experience from Services business and development
  • Competence in user interactions and UX/UI
  • Competitor analysis and benchmark experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent business experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
