We aim to increase access to care for our children and therefore need more employees in our teams who want to drive and develop care and nursing for children and adolescents together with us. Operation Children and Youth is part of the (VO) pediatric surgery and neonatal care at Skåne University Hospital (Sus). We are southern Sweden's specialist surgical department focused on children and adolescents. Our patients' ages range from premature infants up to eighteen years, but the majority of the children are under four years old. Here, both emergency and planned surgeries are performed, and we receive children from several different VO's, such as pediatric surgery, pediatric medicine, ear, nose, and throat, ophthalmology, orthopedics, maxillofacial and dental care, and thoracic surgery. The operation is both complex and unique, as we are the only surgical department offering nationally specialized care (NHV) in both thoracic surgery and pediatric surgery. In addition to the surgeries performed in the operating room, we also assist with anesthesia for, for example, MRI, CT scans, and treatments for children throughout the hospital.

New technology and new workflows present exciting challenges even for those who have worked as anesthetists for a long time. RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of anesthetist nurse, you will ensure that patients and their relatives feel well cared for both before, during, and after surgery. We work according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and have the child's best interests at the center of all care situations. Teamwork is central, and together with colleagues, you work to offer the patient the best possible care. You are responsible for the care of the patient and perform anesthesia for most of the surgeries performed, and you participate in pre- and post-operative work. Furthermore, you are also responsible for anesthesia at our external stations. As time allows, we assist with sampling and IV placement. In your daily work, you will handle a large amount of medical technical equipment.

Together we ensure that you receive the knowledge you need to succeed in your role. You will have a mentor and supervisor who will work with you to plan your introduction. The individual introduction is tailored to your experiences, competencies, and wishes.

We offer opportunities for training and development days both individually and in groups. There is also the possibility to apply for funds from our education fund for further education aimed at developing the operation. Conveying and developing knowledge in anesthetic care, focused on the child, is central to us, so it is entirely appropriate to now invest in building and developing a training room. QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with specialist training in anesthetic care and eligibility to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. Experience from working in an operating room is an advantage for the position.
