Family Therapist at SiS Youth Home Tysslinge
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Tysslinge, located outside Södertälje, receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.
Job Description
We are now looking for family therapists to work with families and networks of placed youth aged 16–21 years. The tasks may include family therapeutic interventions, psychoeducational efforts, and parent training aimed at developing parents' ability to adapt their parenting to the youth's needs outlined in the treatment plan. Working closely with the youth and other staff at the institution to create interest and motivation for participation in family therapy interventions is an important part of your job.
The work is conducted in a team that includes psychologists, treatment secretaries, group leaders, nurses, and teachers. You will have the opportunity to largely shape and plan your working hours. It is required that you are flexible and find solutions to carry out your work under the conditions that prevail in a locked environment with high security.
Direct support will be available from the authority's headquarters as several people will be hired at other institutions with similar conditions. Supervision and opportunities for further education are included as a natural part.
Since this position has not previously existed at SiS Youth Home Tysslinge or at an institution in security class 1, you will take significant responsibility for implementing the position at the institution together with the manager and colleagues. The work and role need to be designed to function and be adapted based on the conditions that apply at SiS's highest security level.
About the Workplace
SiS Youth Home Tysslinge is an institution in the highest security class that receives youth with high risks of threats, violence, and absconding. The institution has a total of six departments, where two of the departments receive youth sentenced under the Act on Closed Youth Care (LSU), three departments receive youth under the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and one department receives youth who are cared for in isolation (VIE).
You will be placed in our newly built administrative office where you will sit in an open office landscape together with managers, security functions, HR, staffing, administrators, psychologists, and nurses.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training to prepare you for your new role in SiS's operations.

Qualifications
You should have:
- A degree of 180 credits in social or behavioral sciences, or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Experience working with youth or families in vulnerable situations.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Step 1 training in psychotherapy with a focus on family or cognitive behavioral therapy
- Experience in family/network work under supervision
- Experience working with manual-based, structured treatment programs

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period.
