Maintenance Technician with a focus on electrical and automation

About the role

The technical organization is a function within Contura AB where we have gathered all manufacturing-related technology. The department consists of knowledgeable and engaged employees who work daily to streamline and develop our production, as well as ensure availability and that our machinery operates optimally.

To further strengthen our team, we are now looking for a maintenance technician with a focus on electrical and automation who wants to contribute to our continued development.

In the role of maintenance technician, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance of our machinery, with a particular focus on electrical and automation systems. You will analyze, identify, and address root causes of faults and deficiencies in production equipment. By effectively solving root problems, we reduce the risk of production disruptions and ensure smooth operations.

Our maintenance department is responsible for work and service on all production equipment, which requires a broad technical competence. We would like you to have experience and knowledge in:

• Reading technical drawings, e.g., electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Industrial automation and robotics
• Electrical installations and troubleshooting in equipment
• Pneumatics and hydraulics

We believe you are an unpretentious, proactive, and service-oriented person who is driven by learning new things and developing smart working methods for the future. You are practically inclined and have a strong interest in technology, especially in electrical and automation.

You have a technical education at the high school or post-secondary level, for example in electrical, automation, and mechatronics. Previous experience in industrial maintenance or troubleshooting is a significant plus. Since you collaborate daily with colleagues to drive improvement work and problem-solving, it is important that you can communicate in a clear, straightforward, and simple manner.
