SFI Teacher for VBU

The Västerbergslagen Education Association, VBU, is a municipal federation that conducts upper secondary education, adult education, vocational higher education, and commissioned training. We are also responsible, on behalf of the municipalities of Ludvika and Smedjebacken, for the municipal activity responsibility and the culture school.

About You

We are looking for several SFI teachers who want to contribute to students' goal fulfillment and completion of their education. You have good pedagogical skills and are independent. A prerequisite for thriving with us is that you, like us, believe that it is possible to create one of Sweden's best schools and workplaces through high quality, participation, safety, collaboration, clarity, and respect.

Your Responsibilities

We are primarily looking for a certified teacher with a degree in Swedish as a second language. We welcome applicants with experience in adult education. We seek individuals who want to teach, mentor, and support students in their learning, as well as work with other tasks included in the pedagogical assignment. As a teacher at VBU, you embody a leadership that challenges and creates trusting relationships with high participation.

Furthermore, you communicate and formulate goals and evaluate methods and goal fulfillment together with students and colleagues in daily work. You have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt your teaching to ensure that all students reach as far as possible and adjust the way you convey your message to the recipient. You fully utilize your didactic and methodological competence with a broad arsenal of methods, tools, and deep subject knowledge.

Employment Conditions

The positions are part-time or full-time. The employment form is a holiday position. Start according to agreement, but no later than August 1, 2024. Work takes place on-site in Ludvika. We require a criminal record extract upon employment. We apply a probationary period of 6 months.
