Sanda is looking for a custodian who wants to be part of our wonderful team.

As a custodian with us, you play a central role in keeping our school in top condition and creating a functional and pleasant environment. You work closely with our staff and are an important representative of the school in interactions with students, staff, and suppliers.

Your new job

We are currently seeking a custodian for the property department at Sanda Middle School. You will belong to the Middle School, but we work with a shared custodian group that collaborates with Sanda High School. The role involves many social contacts, and it is important that you enjoy and function well in social settings. You also need to have the ability to handle IT systems, as many of the tasks we perform today include this.

Examples of job tasks:

• Maintain the school's premises and playground.
• Create a pleasant, safe, and healthy environment for everyone on the school grounds.
• Improve the physical working environment for both students and staff in collaboration with school management.
• Handle repairs, damages, and maintenance of the property or playground.
• Arrange furniture in classrooms, corridors, or other premises.
• Purchase consumables and manage inventory orders.
• Manage alarms, keys, and locking systems.
• Handle mail and goods.
• Address reports of issues from staff or school management.
• Check technical equipment such as copiers or clocks.
• Communicate with students, staff, and partners in other departments.

Sanda Education Center in Huskvarna consists of four different school forms; high school, adapted high school, adapted primary school, and middle school. Over 1,400 students study at Sanda Education Center. We have a close collaboration regarding staff, premises, and joint activities among these four school forms.

The Middle School at Sanda has had a clear focus on sports since its inception over 10 years ago and will continue with this as we grow. Currently, we have about 80 students per grade. From grade 7 in HT25, we will admit approximately 200 students per grade and move into newly built premises just in time for the start of school.

Your qualifications

We see that you, as an applicant, have a high school education, preferably with a relevant focus for the position. It is an advantage if you have experience in a similar role as a custodian. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills. A B driver's license is also a requirement. Familiarity with modern property systems and technologies is a plus. We are looking for a practical person with experience in similar tasks. You should be flexible, solution-oriented, and enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with others. It is important that you are open to exchanging experiences and are willing to share your knowledge. We value a positive attitude and that you are a reliable adult role model who feels comfortable in an environment with students. Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, students, and suppliers are also important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
