Chef for Restaurant Matverket K43, 100% (Daytime)

Who are we looking for?

We are now looking for a passionate chef who can work independently and is confident in themselves. You will work alone in the kitchen with support from the restaurant manager in the daily operations. You should be curious and enthusiastic about your tasks, creating flavorful and well-prepared dishes with a focus on sustainability.

The position includes daily work with self-control, having good knowledge of allergens and being able to account for all ingredients, ordering and receiving goods, as well as waste management. You will also actively work with menu planning, inventory, and cost calculations for all dishes. Cash handling and being comfortable serving guests, as customer contact is part of the job.

About Restaurant Matverket K43

Restaurant Matverket is located in the center of Eskilstuna in an office complex that also houses a healthcare center. We serve daily lunch consisting of traditional Swedish home cooking, and we also cater for conferences with snacks and lunch, as well as catering for small and large events. Some evening orders may occur.

Who are you?

• You are over 18 years old
• You have an education in hotel and restaurant management with a focus on cooking or equivalent
• You have at least 3 years of experience in restaurant work
• You have very good knowledge of gastronomy, nutrition, kitchen economy, and waste management
• You have analytical skills and are results-oriented
• You have the ability to plan and structure work effectively
• You are attentive and responsive and have good knowledge of the work environment
• You are creative and solution-oriented
• You see your significance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and have an easy time collaborating and communicating
• You take responsibility through your passion to maintain a high level of service and quality in what you deliver
• You enjoy fast-paced days, can take initiative, and are flexible in your professional role
• You speak and write Swedish fluently
• You have good computer skills and knowledge of Office365
• Leadership training or experience in leadership is a plus
• Experience with menu planning systems is a plus
