Job Description

Överkalix Municipality is seeking a custodian who will be responsible for operations, maintenance, and repairs within the school and recycling operations during the summer.

As a custodian, you will have a free and varied job with many points of contact. With a big heart for service and order, you ensure that everyday life in the municipal property portfolio runs smoothly.

To thrive in this role, you should have an interest in working with improvement and development efforts.

Physically demanding tasks may occur, so good physical condition is required.

Responsibilities

It is desirable that you have general technical knowledge as lighter repairs and service are part of the job, such as:

• Property maintenance and operational service.
• Maintenance and care of outdoor environments in the municipal property portfolio.
• Lawn mowing.
• Repair of playground equipment, benches, and other outdoor equipment.
• Receiving and sorting at the recycling operations.

Qualifications

You are service-oriented and have a good demeanor, and you should feel comfortable interacting with people, fostering positive contacts with the public and other customers.

To understand work and safety instructions, it is important that you have sufficient knowledge of the Swedish language.

Experience in similar tasks is an advantage.

Duration/Working Hours

Full-time. Daytime. Temporary employment for 1-3 months, start date by agreement.
