The Swedish Armed Forces is looking for two new employees to strengthen our services section in Sollefteå.

The Västernorrland Regiment with the Jämtland Field Ranger Corps, I 21, was re-established in 2022.

The unit operates in three locations: Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand, responsible for training and maintaining two independent infantry battalions and the Military Base Sollefteå.

We will offer you opportunities to develop with exciting tasks and under temporary conditions. You will become part of the army and are expected to work at other locations (e.g., in Härnösand or Östersund, even other places) during your initial period at the regiment, but your workplace will be Sollefteå.

The Supply Department, FörsA Sollefteå, is responsible for providing supplies and transportation that the units need to carry out their operations.

FörsA Sollefteå consists of approximately 25 employees located in Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand. We are part of the Logistics Unit at I 21.

Main Responsibilities

As a warehouse staff member, you will have a versatile job responsible for providing supplies and transportation to the units. This includes the issuance & return of personal equipment, group materials, weapons & ammunition. Handling incoming & outgoing goods, inventory management, and not least administration and record maintenance in our support systems.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, has high social competence, and a good sense of service. You should be quick to learn new computer systems as the work is partially administratively heavy. You should be comfortable contacting people and able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. You can work independently as well as in a team and are loyal, flexible, and organized as a person. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

  • 3-year high school education
  • Driver's license class B, manual transmission

Meritorious

  • Forklift license
  • Wheel loader certificate
  • Driver's license class C
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' equipment
  • Office training
  • Good physical ability

In 2022, the Västernorrland Regiment with the Jämtland Field Ranger Corps, I 21, was re-established. A new regiment, but with centuries-old traditions in both Västernorrland and Jämtland. With us, you have the opportunity to be part of something unique, the re-establishment of a regiment in Lower Norrland.

I 21 is responsible for the establishment of three military units – two independent Norrland infantry battalions and the Military Base Sollefteå. I 21 currently operates in Sollefteå, Östersund, and Härnösand.

In Sollefteå, we have the Anundsjö Infantry Battalion and the regimental staff, in Östersund is the Jämtland Field Ranger Corps. Additionally, there is a garrison support unit with, for example, training and shooting fields, defense health, and an operationally prepared protection force, IBSS.

At the Ångermanland Infantry Battalion and the Jämtland Field Ranger Corps, we train conscripted soldiers for service in the new modern infantry under our proud motto “From mountains to sea, for the defense of Lower Norrland.”
