The Municipality's Community Building Department is responsible for the municipality's technical operations such as property, water/sewage, waste management, cleaning, housing, and project organization.

Placement at the Building and Environmental Office, which is responsible for building and planning issues, maps, traffic safety, housing adaptation, environmental and health protection issues, and food control. The Building and Environmental Unit in Ragunda Municipality consists of 9 employees, with about half in planning and building and the other half in environmental and health protection. We are a small municipality where the tasks are very varied, and everyone works broadly to help and support each other, and to develop in several areas.

Your work primarily consists of control and supervision of environmental and health protection according to the Environmental Code, but may also involve control and supervision according to food legislation, processing of serving permits, matters related to alcohol and tobacco, as well as over-the-counter medications. The distribution of tasks within the workgroup may be adjusted based on the applicant's competence and preferences.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience working as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, who is eager to support and help others grow.

The position is based in Hammarstrand, but the entire municipality will be your workplace, and you will travel around for inspection visits. You will have great opportunities to plan your work and influence working methods, of course with support from the rest of us.

Good opportunities exist for bus commuting and the possibility of partial home/remote work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in environmental and health protection.

A driver's license is a requirement and a prerequisite for many of the tasks involved.

You should have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you have experience working in case management systems. Case management systems such as Vision are advantageous.

Previous experience as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector or equivalent is a requirement.
