P 7 LNLV (Land NATO Latvia)

The Southern Skåne Regiment P 7 is now recruiting soldiers for the 71st Battalion, which currently focuses on staffing Sweden's contribution to the multinational brigade in Latvia, LNLV26 (formerly FLF). The offer entails employment at P 7 where you can be part of a historic mission for the regiment, the Armed Forces at large, and contribute to Sweden's activities within the framework of NATO.

There is no opportunity to train for a new position; you apply with the basic training you have completed.

Main Responsibilities

The current planning direction is that the majority of the battalion will conduct operations within the framework of LNLV. The operations initially include a training phase in Sweden during the autumn of 2025, followed by operations in Latvia in the spring of 2026. Finally, the concluding phase of LNLV will be conducted, after which employment continues as GSS/K or GSS/T as part of the unit at P 7.

Completed basic training with passing grades for the relevant position.

Employment Type

Employment will be offered as either GSS/K or GSS/T, in the position you are trained for as there is no opportunity to train for a new position. The IMI agreement will apply during rotation. GSS/K means full-time employment at one of the units listed above. GSS/T means an activation period of 18 months within the framework of the agreement for part-time service in the Armed Forces, with a possible transition to employment as GSS/K. Employment means that you will be war-placed at P 7, at the military unit you are employed at.

Compensation

The Armed Forces apply individual salary setting. During rotation, the IMI agreement applies, which means that the salary consists of base salary x 1.3 + 12000 SEK per month, with an overseas allowance of 4500 SEK per month, child allowance of 4000 SEK x number of children per month, as well as an operational allowance that can be revised each year (currently 4500 SEK per month).

Start Date

2025-07-28 (V531 Mon) All candidates for the position must undergo physical tests and security screening interviews. Test weekends are planned at P 7 v518 and v519. Selection is ongoing, and therefore invitations will be sent close to the test date. No other test opportunities will be offered.

The Southern Skåne Regiment is also known as P 7. P stands for armor as the regiment primarily uses armored vehicles. We conduct military basic training for conscripts in ground combat, mechanized and motorized combat with support from our main vehicles which are: tank 122, combat vehicle 9040C, and armored terrain vehicle 360.

P 7 has full-time and part-time personnel serving in their various positions nationally and internationally.
