We are looking for a cultural heritage consultant for one of our offices in Västerås or Örebro. Within the Environment business area, we work broadly within the environmental service area, which includes cultural heritage. On behalf of our clients, we handle notification and permit matters, environmental impact assessments and descriptions, cultural heritage analyses, and investigations within cultural heritage, environmental and nature investigations, water and air investigations, contaminated areas, environmental technical soil investigations, environmental controls, risk assessments, and remediation investigations. Our clients are found in both the private and public sectors, including municipal and state levels. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY.

We are now looking for experienced consultants with a focus on cultural heritage who can perform cultural heritage analyses, cultural heritage investigations (archaeology, buildings, cultural landscapes, cultural geography, etc.) and provide support regarding cultural heritage in permit matters and other assignments where cultural heritage values may be at risk. The position includes both office work and fieldwork, which means varying amounts of travel.

As a cultural heritage consultant at AFRY, your assignments will vary and may involve everything from infrastructure projects in the energy sector such as wind and solar power, roads and railways, urban planning and land exploitation, landfills, mines, industries, and various water activities. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assignments both locally, regionally, and nationally. We allow you to take significant responsibility, and you are welcome to take on project management roles and maintain client contacts. As an experienced consultant, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of our service offerings together with the cultural heritage consultants stationed in Västerås.
