We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant to a man nearing 60 years of age in Helsingborg. The man lives in his own apartment and needs support with daily tasks. He has an intellectual disability (ID) and communicates primarily using Supporting and Augmentative Communication (SAC/TAKK). Since he has reduced cognitive abilities, you as an assistant need to be able to help him gain structure and predictability in everyday life. He is physically fully mobile and active, but may need help with motivation to start activities at the right time and needs to be allowed to take things at his own pace.

We are looking for assistants who can step in and work extra shifts when my current assistants cannot for various reasons. There is an opportunity for fixed shifts on the schedule; here we work with 24-hour shifts.

We are looking for you who have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities. If you also have experience working with visual aids/AC and SAC/TAKK, it is a big plus. As a person, you are calm, responsible, and proactive. To be able to support the man in the best way, you need to be able to plan, stay one step ahead, and see what needs to be done. You thrive in a physically active job and have a good deal of imagination.

We prefer that you are over 30 years old and can handle the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as this is necessary for communication to function. It is important that you are smoke-free during working hours!
