The welfare sector consists of four areas: disability services, home care and home health care, individual and family care, and care homes.

Home care and home health care are responsible for services according to the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act. We operate throughout the municipality and are responsible for regulatory activities, home health care, home care, and short-term services. Our mission is to provide support and assistance to those who struggle to manage daily life and to provide good and quality-assured home health care.

Home health care in Ulricehamn Municipality has developed significantly in recent years and today offers both planned and acute health care services in the patient's home. We provide advanced care to patients of all ages with varying diagnoses and needs, from rehabilitation interventions to end-of-life care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work involves care and support work, and the assignment also includes performing delegated health care tasks. In short-term care, you will work with engaged and competent staff where collaboration is the foundation for planning care and support work. Together with colleagues and other professionals in elderly care, you will plan and perform care and support work with the individual in focus, based on a guiding working method.

The work is flexible and varies from day to day. Great emphasis is placed on working based on the needs and resources of each individual. The work often involves advanced and delegated health care tasks, palliative care, and delegated rehabilitation training.

The working hours are varied, as you will work day/evening and weekends in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is a requirement that you are a trained care assistant. If you have good medical knowledge, it is an advantage, as well as work experience from short-term departments, rehabilitation focus, palliative care, or dementia with active work in quality registers Senior Alert and BPSD (behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia).

We are looking for someone who is structured and proactive in their work approach and has good problem-solving skills. As a person, you are positive and calm with an empathetic attitude, and you work purposefully for the individual's participation and self-determination. Many employees in Ulricehamn Municipality speak more than one language, which is a valuable asset. It is also important to have a good command of Swedish as a primary language in both spoken and written form, as well as good documentation and computer skills.

Your ability to collaborate is good, and you have a strong commitment and motivation to work in care and support and are unafraid of new challenges that arise in short-term care.

There are good opportunities for extension of the temporary position after 2026-08-31.
