JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for summer staff for the tourist information in Strömstad who are passionate about providing excellent hospitality!

We give you the chance to work in the heart of our summer town, where Strömstad's location brings summer vibes, happy visitors, and a wonderful atmosphere at work.

The job involves informing, inspiring, and providing excellent service to tourists and local residents. Here at the tourist information, you will meet people from different parts of the world and have the opportunity to help them have an unforgettable stay. This includes being able to provide verbal and written tourist information about accommodation, events, activities, and attractions primarily in our municipality but also for day trips from us. The work also includes some administrative and marketing tasks. The job involves many points of contact such as visitors, local tourism businesses, municipal units, and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in your role, we are looking for someone who:

• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English and understands Norwegian. Additional languages, especially German, are an advantage.
• Has good computer skills and experience working with web tools and social media such as Facebook and Instagram.
• Is at least 18 years old.
• Has good local knowledge of Strömstad and its surroundings.
• Experience in the tourism industry or a tourism education is an advantage.
• A valid B driver's license is a plus (own car not required).

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, such as good social skills and being solution-oriented. You handle stressful situations calmly and are service-oriented.
