About the position

As a Workshop Mechanic at Trans-Auto, you will play a key role in our industrial operations. You will work independently and be responsible for the renovation and modification of drive line components for heavy vehicles. Your work will involve gearboxes, axles, and other important components. You will be part of a team of 7 experienced mechanics and follow the product from disassembly to finished product. Your tasks include cleaning and inspecting the units, assembling them, carrying out painting processes, and testing the products in our specially designed test benches for gearboxes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• A basic technical high school education or equivalent relevant education.
• Several years of relevant work experience.
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
• A valid driver's license (B).

The following are meritorious (not requirements):

• Electrical competence.
• Experience with transmissions and axles for heavy vehicles.
• Forklift license and completed overhead crane training.
• Knowledge of hydraulics.
• Previous experience from the marine, workshop, or automotive industry.
