Your Role

We are now looking for maintenance mechanics for one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role as a maintenance mechanic, your main tasks will be focused on the maintenance of surface vessels. As a maintenance mechanic, you will work in areas such as hydraulics, fan/valve/pump/motor maintenance, shaft pulling, rudder assembly, pressure testing, etc. This makes the work very varied and provides good opportunities to develop your craft and professional skills.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled and enjoys solving problems both independently and in a group. You should have a good sense of customer service. To succeed as a mechanic with us, we see that you are cooperative, solution-oriented, and meticulous.

Requirements

• High school education in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Reading blueprints and schematics
• Good material knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Previous experience working with overhead cranes, forklifts, and mobile platforms.
• Flange/fastening and measurement technology.
• Experience in areas such as hydraulics/pneumatics, compressed air, and safety valves.
• Competence in material processing, including drilling, turning, milling, and threading.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
