We are looking for a responsible and committed substitute care assistant for Short-Term Units 4 & 5 at Solbacka in central Oskarshamn. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and varied environment, where you play an important role in our users' health and well-being.

Short-Term Unit 4 & 5 at Solbacka is a facility that provides care and support to users with varying disabilities. We have a high turnover of users and meet many with different needs, including dementia, mental illness, and palliative care. The work is done in close collaboration with nurses and the rehabilitation unit, making teamwork central. We strive to provide our users with the best possible care and rehabilitation to support their independence and quality of life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute care assistant in the Short-Term Unit, your main responsibilities will include:

• User-centered care and support work, focusing on personal care.
• Medication administration delegated by a nurse.
• Strong focus on daily rehabilitation to support users' functions and quality of life.
• Collaboration with nurses, the rehabilitation unit, and others in the team to ensure good support for users.
• Heavy lifting may occur at times, but we use aids as much as possible to facilitate the work.
• The work can be mentally demanding and therefore requires good stress resilience and the ability to handle difficult situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, the following is required:

• Care assistant education.
• Experience in care work and good knowledge in the field.
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• An empathetic and responsible attitude towards the work.

It is also desirable to have:

• Education in dementia care.
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness or palliative care.
