JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Our target group is individuals aged 18 - 65 who have sustained an injury in adulthood and have been granted assistance to live in short-term housing. A large portion of these individuals have acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, and progressive diseases that require significant support and care needs. It is also common for individuals to suffer from mental health issues or have had substance abuse problems in the past. The individuals who come to us often have medical needs as well as a need for rest.
As an employee with us, you will work with care based on the user's individual conditions, needs, and wishes through set goals and participation in a meaningful everyday life. Care and hygiene work constitute a large part of the workday. Challenging and self-harming behavior may occur. Part of the job also includes documenting the users' development and needs. The job responsibilities also include medication management according to delegation.
To be eligible for a summer position, you need to be able to work full-time on a schedule. You also need to be available fully or partially for work during weeks 25-33. In your application, you will fill in the times you can work. To get into the work before the summer, there is an opportunity to work on an hourly basis before your summer position.
We are also looking for hourly substitutes who can cover for regular staff absences in the operations as needed. As an hourly substitute, you will be offered flexible working hours scheduled during the day, evening, or night on weekdays and weekends according to what suits you. You can manage your working hours by entering your availability and receiving work requests accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
To apply for a position with us, you need to be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations regarding minors' working environment (AFS 2023:2).
To be able to document, you need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.
It is an advantage if you:
- Are a trained nursing assistant, support assistant, or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent, or have ongoing education in health and care
- Have previous work experience in care and support as well as nursing
- Have experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries and daily rehabilitation
- Have experience working with individuals with mental health issues and/or substance abuse
